Banda Aceh, Aceh (Antara) - Rhoma Irama, an Indonesian self-styled king of dangdut (musician) and a politician, kicked off the campaign of the Nation's Awakening Party (PKB) in Aceh provincial district of Aceh Besar. Rhoma started the party's inaugural campaign by singing some of his well-known songs such as "Adu Domba" and "Ayo Bersatu" in effort to amuse the Aceh people. Hundreds of people gathered in the Lampeuneurut's Islamic Center in the Aceh Besar District to listen to the campaign messages delivered by Rhoma Irama along with PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar. Rhoma said after arriving at the Sultan Iskandar Muda airport in Aceh Besar district on Saturday afternoon (March 15) said that he has a proximity with Aceh. "I have a proximity with Aceh, so I started the first campaign in this province," he stated. In addition to winning the PKB in Aceh, Rhoma said he also wants to be reunited with communities in the Indonesia`s westernmost province of Aceh.
