Surabaya, E Java (Antaranews Jatim) - Surabaya city mayor Tri Rismaharini said various efforts would be taken to restore the city's condition to normalcy including children's condition after terror attacks.
She said here on Tuesday she would cooperate with all parties especially teachers, psychologists and psychiatrists to jointly wipe out children's trauma.
"We have established a team consisting of psychologists and psychiatrists to recover psychological condition of the children (victims)," she said.
She hoped in the future no more children would fall victims, adding she would take various kinds of treatment to restore the condition of the children to return it to normalcy.
"With regard to psychological treatment we would refer it to its experts. After they all work I later would come to give them spirit and motivation," she said.
The head of population management, women empowerment and child protection, Antiek Sugiharti, said accompaniment would be given to children individually or in group at schools.
It would be given not only to children but also their friends, she said. "Focus would first be put on schools of victims and perpetrator victims," she said.
Risma said she planned to visit all schools in the city to make children not to be afraid again and worried.
"We have so far visited eight elementary, junior high and senior high schools and it will continue," she said.
