Jakarta (Antara) - Bank of Indonesia (BI) Governor Agus Martowardojo said BI was optimistic that the national economic growth in 2014 could reach 6.4 - 6.8 percent or higher than the assumption at 6.3 percent. "Next year we have predicted increasing economic growth could reach 6.4-6.8 percent or higher than the assumption," he said here on Thursday. He said the growth will be influenced by global economic growth especially of the United States and of China. Meanwhile, the 2013 national economic growth was lower than that in 2012 due to global economic condition and the impact of subsidized-fuel price hike. "However, the economic growth this year could be 6.3 percent. To realize the target we should push the export performance and expand our market," he said. (*)
