Jakarta (Antara) - The National Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) has launched two social media accounts to promote "Generation With Plan" (GenRe) program to young people, acting Chief Sudibyo Alimoeso said here on Thursday. "We have two accounts namely GenRe BkkbN for Facebook and @GenReBkkbN for Twitter," he said. The GenRe program aims to provide information to young people about how to plan their life carefully. The program also calls on young people to give contribution to population control program by conducting healthy life and avoiding free sex. Sudibyo argued the use of social media to promote the program is relevant considering most of young Indonesians today have social media accounts. According to BKKBN's data, Indonesia's population in 2011 has increased by more than 241 million. The number exceeded the national projection of 237.6 million souls with a growth rate of 1.49 percent per year. If the population growth rate is not lowered, the country's population is predicted to rise to 450 million in 2045, meaning that one among 20 people in the world would be an Indonesian.
