Surabaya, E. Java, June (Antara) - The National Election Commission (KPU) has named the Surabaya KPU to be in charge of Election Visit Program for the East Java regional election on June 27.
The Technical Division of Surabaya KPU Commissioner , Nurul Amalia, said the Election Visit Program is to facilitate visits by foreign election agencies, representatives of foreign countries in the country and foreign and local non governmental organizations to see the process of the regional election.
"We already made certain preparations for the Election Visit Program, such as a coordinating meeting of seven sub-district Election Committees (PPK) on Sunday," Nurul Amalia said here on Monday.
He said a number of polling booths (TPS) in the seven sub-districts would be visited by the group taking part inf the Election Visit Program on June 27,
The seven polling booths will include ones in the sub-district of Gubeng, Jambangan, Dukuh Pakis, Sambikerep, Sukomanunggal, Wonocolo, and Wonkromo.
Nurul said the coordinating meeting with the seven sub-district Election Committees discussed all preparations to be made to facilitate the activities related to the Election Visit Program.
In addition, the coordinating meeting also discussed and determined the routes to be taken in bringing the participants in the Election Visit Program, he said.
"It is important to ensure that no problem to be met in the way to the polling booths," he added. (*)
