Jakarta, (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana on Monday left for Brebes, Central Java Province, by Super Puma helicopter to launch Action Synergy Program for People's Economic.
The program is aimed at alleviating poverty and improving the standard of living of small entrepreneurs in rural areas, by providing opportunities for farmers and fishermen to work or do business properly, according to Ari Dwipayana of the presidential communication team.
The program is carried out by the coordinating ministry for economic affairs with the support of several ministries such as the agrarian and land spatial ministry, the state owned enterprises ministry, agriculture ministry, communication and informatics ministry, trade ministry, public works and public housing ministry, rural and backward region development ministry, and cooperatives and small and medium scale enterprises ministry.
The presidential entourage during the visit to Brebes includes Minister/State Secretary Pratikno and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.(*)
