Solo, C Java (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with leaders of his Great Indonesia Coalition in Solo, Central Java, to discuss, among others, the national police chief issue. The President confirmed that he had discussed the issue of Commissioner General Budi Gunawan's nomination as National Police Chief. "As is the case with every meeting, many issues were discussed and one of them was the BG issue," he said upon arrival at the Halim Perdanakusumah air force base in Jakarta on Saturday. The President was returning from a visit to Solo, Central Java. Romahurmuzy, the general chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), who attended the meeting said all KIH leaders were present at the meeting, including Megawati Soekarnoputri, the general chairperson of President Joko Widodo's Indonesia Democratic Party Struggle (PDIP), Surya Paloh, the general chairman of the National Democrat Party (Nasdem), Muhaimin Iskandar, the general chairman of the Nation Awakening Party (PKB) and Wiranto, the general chairman of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura). He said that during the meeting, President Jokowi reiterated the aim of the KIH's Founders, which is to support his election and his government until the end of its term in 2019. "We reaffirmed that there should not be any conflict between Jokowi, Megawati and Surya Paloh, nor between Jokowi and the KIH parties," he said after visiting the Al Muayyad Islamic boarding school in Mangkuyudan.
