Tangerang, Banten (Antara) - Agency for Application and Assessment of Technology (BPPT) personnel staged a rally to show solidarity with the agency's director of industrial technological and transportation system center who has named as suspect in an alleged graft case. On Friday, the BPPT officers showed solidarity at the meeting hall of the agency's science and technology center (BPPT Puspitek) in Jakarta's southwestern outskirts of Serpong. The agency's director of industrial technological and transportation system center Prof. Prawoto has been named as a suspect in the mark up of the price of TransJakarta buses and rejuvenated public transport modes. "We give full support to him, so he will not be alone. He has carried out his duties with the highest priority, so we provide him moral and material support," BPPT chief secretary Dr. Ir. Jumain Appe MSi said at a forum showing BPPT's solidarity. Jumain added that BBPT's activity was to meet the request for technical assistance from liaison workers of the technical team of the Jakarta provincial transportation office in the procurement of Transjakarta buses. The activity complies with a joint agreement between the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, the Jakarta provincial administration on the assessment, and application and familiarization of technology to support the implementation of traffic law.
