Bojonegoro, East Java (Antara) - Vice President Boediono stated that he is ready to serve as a witness in the trial of the Bank Century bailout case at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor).
"Boediono is planning to attend the trial and give clear, true details to the judges and prosecutors about the Bank Century takeover case," the Vice President's spokesperson Yopie Hidayat stated in a text message received here on Friday.
Yopie said the attendance of Boediono is suitable to his commitment to help and support the Century law enforcement case, which had become a controversy since the problem occurred.
Vice President Boediono and former Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati will testify at the case of providing short-term financing facility (FPJP) to Bank Century in 2008, by changing the minimum Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) for FPJP recipients to 2.35 percent from the initial limit of eight percent.
"Mr. Boediono will be present at the trial. We will call Sri Mulyani also," the chief of prosecutors of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), KMS Roni, said at the trial in the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) on Thursday, April 24.
It was revealed on the trial of former deputy of Bank Indonesia Budi Mulya. (*)
