Nusa Dua - Vice President Boediono on Monday opened a summit meeting of developing South in this Bali beach resort area. Attending the opening ceremony included representatives of a number of South-South member countries . Boediono said the conference is expected to produce cooperation in wider areas among the member countries such as in economic development. "Indonesia could share experience in development and poverty eradication," he said. Indonesia is ready to share its experience in coping with natural disasters and food and energy resilience, he added. In addition, Indonesia could share its experience in managing domestic conflicts and development of institutions, he said. He hopes the conference would deal with macro economic issues and management field. He said Indonesia has recorded good economic development in the past 40 years despite setback in 1998 when the country was badly hit by regional monetary crisis. (*)
