Cilacap (ANTARA) - State oil and gas company Pertamina has assured that fuel oil supplies during Idul Fitri festivities in Java will be adequate. "Supplies will be sequired. We have prepared the supplies since three months ago," Pertamina General Affairs Manager for Refinery Unit (RU) IV in Cilacap, Central Java, Sutarno, said here on Sunday. The Pertamina refinery unit IV in Cilacap had a production capacity of 348,000 barrels per day and strategic value because it supplied 34 percent of the country's fuel needs or 60 percent of fuel oil needs in Java, he said. He said the head office of Pertamina had so far coordinated fuel supplies from one refinery unit to another so that fuel oil supplies during the Idul Fitri festivities could be met. After all, he said employees of the refinery unit IV involved in production process to decide the schedule of their leave themselves. "If the number of employees is quite large they can take leave in turns. But if the number of employees is limited they can take leave after Lebaran. This is the joint commitment of Cilacap refinery unit to ensure the smooth production of fuel oils particularly gasoline, diesel oil and avtur (aviation turbine) fuels," he said.
