Jember (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) Arief Budiman has said as many as 270 regions are ready to carry out the 2020 simultaneous regional head elections (pilkada).
"There are three things that need to be prepared ahead of the local elections to date, namely regulations, human resources (HR), and the budget," he said while speaking a seminar on "Seeking Quality Leaders and of Integrity towards the 2020 Peaceful Elections" organized by the University of Jember, here on Saturday.
Necessary regulations were in place for this year's pilkada, human resources had no problem, and the budget was allocated and parts of the funds were disbursed last year, he said.
