Depok, W Java (Antara) - Indonesian Workers Assosiation (Apindo) will create 3 million job opportunities every year during next five years as a response to the high amount of unemployment in Indonesia. "Creating job opportunities is the Apindo economy road map in order to improve the amount of labor in country," Apindo executive director Agung Pambudi said here on Thursday during a seminar "New Government Challenge: Heading Towards Inclusive Growth". Principally, the challenge to realize the plan until 2019 is creating a sustainable and inclusive economy growth, he said. One of the solutions to the challenge is improving Indonesian business and industries role. "We need to create fair, transparent, and conducive climate business to increase the job opportunities," Agung said. In creating more job opportunities, he said Apindo sees some sectors which are very likely for them, such as manufacturing sector, food, agriculture, energy, and financial institutions. "Indonesia has the opportunity to compete in the global manufacturing industry," he stated. Meanwhile in food sector, it also shows some improvement in recent years. Agung said that Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) noted the increasing proportion of food purchasing and consumption in Indonesia. "It is also caused by Indonesian that make culinary as a life style," he said. (*)
