Indonesia-Spain Planning on Visa-Free Entry for Diplomatic and Service Passports

Nusa Dua, Bali (Antara) - The governments of Indonesia and Spain have proposed to authorize visa-free entry for diplomatic and service passports.
"We have been discussing the possibility of visa-free entry for diplomatic and service passports for Spain and Indonesia," said Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa after a bilateral meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo during the 6th Global Forum of United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) held on August 29-30 in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday.
The two ministers had also discussed on the establishment of a consultation forum between Indonesia and Spain.
The Spanish minister, according to Natalegawa, had also appreciated the Indonesian government's effort in the search and rescue operation of two Spanish nationals, who were the victims of a capsized boat in Sangeang Api Island, Wera Subdistrict, Bima District, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
Ministers Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo and Marty Natalegawa were among the speakers on the opening session of the 6th Global Forum of UNAOC.
The forum was opened on Friday by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki moon, Prime Minister of Timor Leste Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, and High Representative of UNAOC Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser.
As many as 106 representatives and international organizations of various countries and around 1,300 participants attended the forum. (*) Reported by Imam Santoso
