Denpasar (Antara) - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will soon announce the running mate for its presidential candidate Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, PDIP Deputy Secretary General Hasto Kristianto said. "The name of Jokowi's running mate will be announced between May 10 and May 18. The name of the vice presidential candidate is not different from those often mentioned in the media," Hasto said here on Friday. "There are two contenders, Jufuf Kalla and Abraham Samad who were contenders as Jokowi's running mate," he said. "Both of them have the same credibility and capability in their respective fields," he added. "Let's wait and see who among them will be picked by Jakowi and Megawati Soekarnoputri," he added. Asked about the visit of PDIP General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri to Bali, Hasto explained that her visit to Bali had nothing to do with politics. "Mega is visiting Bali for a private matter which has nothing to do with politics. She considers Bali her second home," Hasto clarified. Megawati arrived in Bali on Thursday evening. A number of officials accompanied the PDIP leader, among others Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara and Gianyar District Deputy Head Made Mahayastra. (*)
