Jakarta (Antara) - Jakarta governor Joko Widodo or Jokowi as he is popularly known, is a determinant factor for deciding a presidential ticket in the upcoming election this year, according to a survey. Anyone paired with Jokowi receives a positive response from respondents marked by their high electability, the executive director of the Soegeng Sarjadi School of Government, Fadjroel Rachman, stated here on Thursday. "Aburizal Bakrie (Golkar Party's chief), when paired with Jokowi, got the highest mark according to the survey rather than when he was paired with any other figure, which got him jut 5.6 percent electability, he explained. He added that when Jokowi was paired with Megawati (chief of the Indonesia Democratic Party Struggle - PDIP), their electability among the respondents reached 12.7 percent. And when Jusuf Kalla (former vice president) was paired with Jokowi, their electability reached 14 percent, while with Prabowo Subianto, he received a positive response from 24.8 percent of respondents. "Among several figures that Jokowi was paired with as a presidential candidate, he got the highest mark when paired with with Prabowo Subianto," he clarified. Fadjroel however denied that anyone paired with Jokowi would get a landslide victory. "Some say that even if Jokowi is paired with flip-flops, he will win. That is not true. Although Jokowi has high electability and popularity rate, he still needs to find the right mate. The fact is Jokowi's electability will only reach 0.64 percent if he is paired with Rhoma Irama (singer)," he explained. The survey, carried out from February 10 to March 5, recorded Jokowi's individual electability as president reached 40.32 percent followed by Prabowo Subianto at 10.64 percent, Jusuf Kalla at 6.08 percent, Wiranto 4.96 percent, Aburizal Bakrie at 1.12 percent and Megawati Soekarnoputri at 1.04 percent.
