Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Galeao Air Base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday local time, to attend the G20 Summit.

As accessed virtually from Prabowo's personal Youtube account on Sunday, the president and his entourage landed at Galeao Air Base at 23:40 local time.

He was accompanied by his son Aditya Hediprasetyo, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Brazil Edi Yusup and Brazilian Ambassador to Indonesia George Monteiro Prata greeted Prabowo upon his arrival, along with the Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Brazil, Colonel Rizal Ashwam Amanda.

After a few chats, Prabowo was escorted to a white Mercedes Benz state car decorated with the Indonesian and Brazilian flags to continue the journey.

The president's Media Team informed that the President and dozens of G20 leaders were scheduled to discuss issues related to overcoming poverty, hunger, and environmentally friendly energy transition strategies in the world.

The G20 Summit this year is themed "Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet".

Previously, Prabowo left Lima, Peru, on Saturday local time, after attending several bilateral meetings during the 2024 APEC Summit which took place on November 14-16, 2024.

During his state visit to Peru, he met with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte and attended breakfast with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

With Boluarte, Prabowo discussed several issues ranging from a comprehensive economic partnership agreement to illicit drugs eradication.

Meanwhile, the head of state agreed to deepen strategic bilateral cooperation in the agriculture, education, and health sectors with Australia, during his talk with Albanese.

On the second day in Peru, Prabowo had bilateral meetings with Vietnam President Luong Cuong, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.

Closing the activities in Peru, Prabowo delivered his final speech at the APEC Summit before leaving for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
