Bojonegoro, East Java, (Antara Jatim) - The Association of Tour and Travel Bureau in Bojonegoro District, East Java, will hold the "Bojonegoro Travel Fair" in October this year to showcase the potential of local tourism, culinary arts, and souvenirs.
"The Bojonegoro Travel Fair aims to introduce and promote culinary tourism and souvenirs to the local and outside communities," Chairman of the Tour and Travel Bureau Association Wahyu Setiawan remarked here on Wednesday.
Setiawan said various parties engaged in the tourism sector from East Java, Central Java, and Jakarta will be invited to participate in the Bojonegoro Travel Fair.
According to the association's chairman, tourist attractions in East Java, including in Bojonegoro, are an integral part of those in Central Java, and hence, the Bojonegoro Travel Fair package can be integrated with the existing tourist attractions in Central Java, or vice versa.
He further remarked that players in the tourism sector, managers of tourist attractions in villages, private and government agencies in the kabupten (regency) that also manage various tourist sites, among others, will follow the Bojonegoro Travel Fair.
In the meantime, Moch Subechi, head of the Bojonegoro Tourism Promotion Board, said the district has 11 potential and 21 new tourist attractions that are viable to be introduced to the public through the travel fair.
"Hence, we urge travel business operators to participate in introducing the local attractions," Subechi added.(*)
