Jakarta (Antara) - President Joko Widodo should urge Prime Minister Cameron to close down the OPM representative office in the United Kingdom, Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives Fadli Zon stated.

"The president should take a firm stance that Indonesia rejects the establishment of the OPM representative office in the United Kingdom," Zon stated here on Monday.

The meeting should be beneficial for Indonesia to convey its economic, political, and security interests.

Regarding Papua, President Widodo should urge the United Kingdom and the European Union to recognize the Indonesian territory spanning from Aceh to Papua.

He expressed hope that an agreement on closing down the OPM representative office in the United Kingdom could be reached during the meeting between President Widodo and Prime Minister Cameron.

The Indonesian government's stance is in line with its strategy to curb the activities of the representatives of radical organizations in the country.

"The United Kingdom should reject the establishment of an OPM representative office there," he remarked.(*)
