Tokyo (Antara) - President Joko Widodo invited Japanese businesspeople to invest in Indonesia's infrastructure sector to support the construction of seaports, airports, toll roads, and railway tracks that will have been started this year. "The infrastructure projects will be started from seaports, airports, toll roads, and railway tracks in which part of their financial sources come from the state budget and investment. We hope Japan will participate in realizing the projects," he said here Tuesday. Speaking at a business forum as part of his scheduled programs during his four-day state visit to Japan, President Joko Widodo said the Japanese businesspeople were expected to keep contributing to the strengthening of the two countries' bilateral relations. He highly appreciates the Japanese investors and business-people's contribution and pledges to respond to their complaints over problems relating to the condition of Indonesia's infrastructure, land acquisition, fiscal policies, fuel subsidies, and issuance of business permits. "We have responded to these problems and we have done a lot to fix them," the head of state said. The government's policy to shift fuel subsidy that has been made effective since December 2014 has given a greater fiscal room. The process of issuing business permits has also been handled by a one-stop integrated service, he said.(*)
