Jakarta (Antara) - The election team running the Prabowo-Hatta presidential and vice presidential candidates suspects that the military's officers honorary council (DKP)'s document on Prabowo's dismissal from the military is being held by Wiranto. "The DKP document has not been found in the secretariat of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI). We suspect that the document is being personally kept by retired Armed Forces Commander Gen. Wiranto," Andre Rosiade, a member of Prabowo-Hatta success team, said during a press conference at the Polonia Success Team secretariat here on Saturday. Andre noted that the issue about the DKP document had become public due to the increasing electability of presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto, who is running with vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa. The DKP document contained a recommendation in 1998 by the military officers honorary council to dismiss Prabowo due to his alleged human rights violations linked to the disappearance of activists. Andre referred to the statement of TNI commander Gen. Moeldoko, who said on Friday, June 13, that the DKP document never existed in the General Secretariat of the TNI. "I think this indicates panic by those who tried to reduce Prabowo-Hatta's electability," Andre said. Also, the success team of Prabowo alleged that Wiranto had violated the constitution by producing a DKP document for a high-ranking military officer. "Armed Forces commanders only have the right to produce a DKP document for a middle-ranking officer or lower one," he said. (*) reporting by michael teguh adiputra siahaan
