Jakarta - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale shook Nabire in Indonesia's eastern-most province of Papua on Sunday night, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The epicenter of the quake which struck at 11.49 p.m. western Indonesia time was in the sea 59 km northwest of Nabire or 3,173 km northeast of Jakarta at a depth of 10 km, the agency said in its official website on Sunday. The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, it said. There was no immediate report of casualties or material damage caused by the temblor. (*)
