Three Killed in Bus Accident in East Java

Madiun, E Java (ANTARA) - Three people were killed in an accident, when the 'Sumber Selamat' bus collided with an Isuzu Elf minivan in the Madiun-Surabaya highway, East Java, on Sunday, police said.
Head of the Accident Unit of Madiun Police Precinct Adjunct Inspector Sujarwo said besides causing the death of three people, the accident also caused scores of others to suffer from injuries.
The victims, including those who died, were all rushed to the Caruban Regional Public Hospital in Madiun. The accident took place in Balerejo village, Belerejo sub district.
The Isuzu Elf minivan was packed with passengers when it collided with the Sumber Selamat bus. All the victims were passengers of the minivan.
The dead victims were identified as Samian (44), the driver of the minivan, a resident of Karangpilang sub district, Surabaya; Etik Retno Kurniawati (28), a resident of Sooko sub district, Ponorogo district and the other one has yet to be identified. (*)
