Ambon, Maluku - At least five people were killed in a clash at Gunung Botak gold mining site in Buru district, Maluku province, on Wesdnesday, Buru district head Ramly Umasugi said here on Thursday. He said five people were killed and one sustained serious injury in the clash but they have not been identified yet. "The fatalities have yet to be identified but have been evacuated to Namlea general hospital. They are believed to be of the local community and from the other areas," Ramly said. Ramly added that the police has taken the situation under control but now he was on his way to Pattimura airport her to fly back to Namlea, the Buru district town.
