Bali Youths to Hold Peace Camp 2011

Denpasar - Balinese youths from various ethnic and religious backgrounds will hold a national meeting called Peace Camp Bali 2011 in the artists settlement of Ubud, from October 28 to 30, 2011.
"This event is one of the activities to commemorate the 83th Youth Pledge Day (Hari Sumpah Pemuda)," chairman of the event's organizing committee, , I Kadek Didi Suprapta, said here on Monday.
Didi said the meeting of the Peaceful Generation of Indonesia aimed to revive the spirit of unity and peace among the youth.
"Various artistic activities such as acoustic music performance of Marcello, dances and songs presented by Sahabat Cilik Generasi Bisa Indonesia will enliven the event," Didi said.
Didi added various traditional Indonesian dances will be performed by more than 30 participants from various community groups and individuals.
The chairman of the Religious Harmony Forum of Bali Province, Ida Bagus Wiana, welcomed and strongly supported the activities as long as it was to promote religious harmony.
The meeting would present many speakers to enlighten the youth from various regions in Indonesia such as Muslim cleric Ishak Ismael, Hindu spiritual leader Ida Pedanda Made Gunung, and Muslim leader from Gorontalo Umi.
Moreover, speakers from Generasi Bisa Indonesia Foundation Andy Prawira and Yerry Patinasarani, Christian pastor Yastari, Pandita Gde Karyana (Buddhist representative), Romo Denny (Catholic representative), Gobind Vasdev (Happiness Inside), and Rudy Munthe (Little Tree Bali)
