Jakarta (Antara) - Police special anti terror squad (Densus 88) has arrested one more terrorist suspect in Kota Palu, Central Sulawesi, believed to have affiliation with four suspected foreign terrorists nabbed earlier in the same district. The new suspects identified as Akbar alias Rosi alias Jo was arrested in front of the Palu Plaza in Kota Palu on Monday, chief spokesman of the police headquarters Ins. Gen. Ronny F Sompie said here on Tuesday. Ronny said Akbar is the owner of a boarding house and he had provided a hiding place for the four foreigners before being caught by a team of Densus 88 in the regency of Parigi Moutong, Palu. "Akbar is a hand phone seller and he is unmarried," Ronny said. He said Akbar is also suspected of being a member of terrorist group belonging to the East Indonesian Mujahidin (MIT) often serving as a courier for the MIT leader Santoso, who is as law fugitive included in the police list of wanted men. He said Akbar was nabbed after the arrest of the four foreign terrorist suspects, whose real identities are yet being investigated. The names written in their Turkish passports are A Basyit, A Bozoghlan, A Bayram and A Zubaidan. Police have coordinated with the immigration office and the Turkish embassy to find confirmation about their nationality, Ronny said. (*)
