Jakarta, (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to visit the Rakhine State refugee site at Cox's Bazar Bangladesh on Sunday.
"During the day, President Joko Widodo and Mrs Iriana along with the entourage will head to Cox's Bazar by using the Presidential plane of Indonesia-1 through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, Bangladesh," said Deputy Secretary of Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin in a written statement received in Jakarta on Sunday.
On the fifth day of his five-nation visit on Sunday, the President, besides visiting Cox's Bazar, will hold a bilateral meeting with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Bangladesh Prime Minister's Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
After that, President Jokowi and PM Hasina will witness the signing of five memorandums of understanding (MoU).
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi explained that in the meeting President Jokowi with PM Hasina will discuss trade relations of both countries.
"There will be the signing of 5 MoUs, namely on Foreign Affairs Consultation, Joint Communiqués on IUU (Illegal, unreported and unregulated) Fishing and the establishment of PTA (preferential trade agreement)," said Retno.
The fourth MoU concerns the purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and the fifth one is on development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) power plant.
"God willing there are five (MoUs) to be signed," said Retno.
Before visiting the office of the prime minister of Bangladesh, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo will first attend the wreath laying ceremonies at the National Martyrs Memorial Savar and at the Bangabhandu Memorial Museum.
From Cox's Bazar, President and Mrs. Iriana along with the entourage will continue his journey to Jamtoli refugee camp by car. Here, the President will meet the Rakhine State refugees.
In the afternoon, the President and Mrs. Iriana together with the entourage will return to Dhaka, Bangladesh using Indonesia-1 Presidential plane.(*)
