Jakarta, (Antara) - The Indonesian Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia has promoted ten new tourist destinations at an Indonesia-Croatian Travel Agency workshop on the sidelines of the largest international tourism exhibition in Croatia, Place2Go, which took place on March 17 to 19.
"One of Indonesia's missions at Place2Go this year is to expand marketing network of tourism products in the Southeast European region," Charge d'Affaires Ad-interim at the Embassy in Zagreb, Widjoseno Sastroamidjojo, said in a press statement received by Antara here on Monday.
The ten new tourist destinations are Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Tanjung Kelayang in Bangka Belitung, Tanjung Lesung in Banten, Seribu Islands in Jakarta, Borobudur temple in Central Java, Mount Bromo in East Java, Mandalika in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Komodo Island in East Nusa Tenggara, Wakatobi National Park in Southeast Sulawesi, and Morotai island in North Maluku.
The Embassy brought seven travel agents to the event.
"It becomes a good opportunity to attract tourists from Croatia, as well as European tourists who are in Croatia for a visit to Indonesia," he said.
The Embassy in Zagreb noted the number of tourists from Croatia visiting Indonesia only 2,504 in 2014.(*)
