New Delhi, (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will meet the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of leading Indian companies during his current state visit to India.
Entering the second day of his working visit to New Delhi, India, the President on Tuesday is scheduled to meet with 20 CEOs of Indian firms and five CEOs of Indonesian companies in the ballroom of the Leela Palace Hotel.
The five Indonesian businessmen who will participate in the event are Rosan P. Roeslani (chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or Kadin Indonesia), Shinta W. Kamdani (vice chairman of Kadin Indonesia), Sudhamek A.W. Soenjoto of Garuda Food, Erwin Aksa of Bosowa Group, and Fuganto Widjaja of Sinar Mas Group.
Participants from India are the CEOs and founders of Nephrocare Health Services Pvt Ltd, Teva API, Concept Pharmaceutical, V-Worldwide, Aditya Birla Group, GRASIM, GVK Group, GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd, GMR Energy, Ambuja Neotia Group, Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Hinduja Group, Tata Motors, SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd., Sun Pharmaceuticals, Forbes Marshall Pvt. Ltd., NASSCOM, Infosys Ltd., Wockhardt Ltd., and Alembic Ltd.
Further, President Jokowi along with Indonesian First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo will be heading to the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi to meet and have lunch with the Indonesian community living in India.
Later, the Indonesian president and his entourage are scheduled to head to the Palam Air Force Base, New Delhi, India, from where he will take off, leaving for Tehran, Iran, on the presidential plane Indonesian-1 in the afternoon.
President Jokowi will begin his activities in Tehran on Wednesday.
Accompanying President Jokowi and his wife on the working visit to India are a number Cabinet ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto, and Head of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board Thomas Trikasih Lembong.(*)
