Depok, West Java (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) presided over the routine of Operation Mantap Brata 2024 for securing the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka here on Monday.

President Jokowi arrived at the Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Headquarters at 8:13 a.m. local time and was welcomed by National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The head of state was wearing a black suit and a Brimob cap.

President Jokowi and President-Elect Prabowo Subianto then entered the ceremony area together aboard Brimob’s Maung car.

President Jokowi was followed by Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of the National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in a similar car.

The president then led the security routine ceremony attended by around 15 thousand police personnel.

In this routine, President Jokowi received the Loka Praja Samrakshana award from the Police chief, as the head of state has been considered to significantly support the development of the Police organization.

At the end of the event, some police units demonstrated their security preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the elected president and vice president on October 20.
