Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Antara) - The Indonesian Delegation won 13 gold medals at the  eleventh ASEAN Skills Competition (ASC) in Putra Jaya, Malaysia held September 23 - 28, 2016.

An announcement about the victories was released by the Indonesian ASC Delegation Chairman, Khairul Anwar, and the Indonesian Manpower Ministry shared the information on twitter on Thursday.

The closing ceremony was held at Putra Jaya International Convention Center (PICC) on Thursday evening and attended by the Malaysian Internal Affairs Minister, Dato' Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and Indonesian Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri.

Hanif said skills are important in education and work, and he hoped the school classes also cover skills and competency.

The Indonesian delegation members, who won gold medals, included Riza Budi Prasetya for IT Software Solution For Business, Helmi Yuliardi for Electronics, and Anggun Nurdila for Fashion Technology.

In addition, Hadi Setiawan and Kenrick Satrio Sahputra were chosen as the Best Web Designer in ASEAN, winning a gold medal.

The other Indonesian delegation members, who brought medals home, were Abdul Azis and M.Asad Humam, who won bronze medals for Automobile Technology, while M. Dhio Fadly and Junito Suroto won silver medals for CNC Maintenance.

Meanwhile, Indonesia also received the ASEAN Best Cabinet Maker award, won by Ahmad Zaenul Amin and Martinus Dedi Wicaksono, and the ASEAN Graphic Design Technology award was won by Okky Permana.

In the Beauty Therapy and Fashion Technology category, Dwi Safitri and Dina Nugrahani won silver medals, and in Hairdressing, Saridah earned a bronze medal, while Eko Mustofa and Andy Yuniawan won a medal in Mobile Robotics.(*)
