Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday called on acting secretary general of the ruling party PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto to report the case of KPK chairman Abraham Samad to the anti graft agency. "KPK invites Hasto to report the case (about Abraham Samad's alleged meetings with political party leaders) to KPK," Johan Budi, the a KPK Deputy for Prevention, said. Hasto has spoken to the mass media and to the Commission III of the Parliament about the case saying Samad had held a number of meetings with political party leaders to discuss the possibility of nominating him vice president candidate as a running mate of Joko Widodo in the last presidential election. Hasto said he was present in some of the meetings when Samad offered to take care of a legal corruption case faced by a PDIP cadres, Emir Moeis. "It would have been good if Hasto gave the information and data to KPK instead of reporting to Commission III of the Parliament and talk to the mass media," Johan said . (*)
