Surabaya, E Java (Antara) - The Surabaya City Cooperatives, Micro Small and Medium Businesses Office in East Java, is ready to operate a street vendor center in Ampel area soon. The office has ordered carts to sell a variety of goods through street vendors, chief of the office Hadi Mulyana said here on Wednesday. The center will be able to accommodate 80-100 vendors. "The concept of the street vendor center in Ampel is different from that of the centers in the rest of the city," he said. Most of the Ampel street vendors will be local residents who have so far sold a variety of goods around the Ampel religious area. "We will involve the local administrative officers for the selection of vendors," he said.(*)
