Jakarta (Antara) - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto's great spirit in the three presidential candidate debates has raised his electability, a political observer said. "In several presidential candidate debates, Prabowo has on at least three occasions shared (his rival) Joko Widodo's views. Prabowo said the truth of what is considered true," Iswandi Syahputra of the Yogyakarta-based Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN) reported here on Wednesday. The result of a recent survey conducted by the Institut Survei Indonesia (ISI) revealed that the electability of the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pair has slightly exceeded that of the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla duo. The survey has raised the electability of the Prabowo-Hatta pair at 51.18 percent and that of their rival at 48.82 percent. The popularity of the Prabowo-Hatta pair was inseparable from the appearance of Prabowo who has increasingly become popular including in each of the presidential candidate debates where he showed his great spirit, he said. He added that Prabowo, who is former chief of the special elite force (Koppasus), appeared to have hit back at his political opponents and his seniors who had so far attacked him through several negative issues.
