Kuala Lumpur (Antara) - Indonesia and Malaysia enhanced bilateral cooperation in the security defense sector by establishing a special agency to exchange intelligence. "Malaysian Defense Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein has held a meeting with Staff Chief of Indonesian Army General Budiman to discuss establishment of the agency," according to local media reports here on Tuesday. The two-hour visit with Budiman becomes his first official visit abroad after leading the Indonesian Army since August 30, 2013. The Minister and General also discussed the improvement of joint activity of the Balasah Operation at the Indonesia-Malaysia Post and Krisparang Operation in Sarawak, as well as the operation at the Seliku-Simanggaris Post in Sabah. The media reported that Indonesia and Malaysia will enhance cooperation in several areas by conducting state visits and increasing the number of joint posts along the eastern boundary. General Budiman was welcomed by an honor guard "Perbarisan Hormat Diraja" made up of 100 soldiers of the Askar Melayu Regiment. Also, 250 members of the 10th Para-Brigade also welcomed Budiman with a war dance. Tenth Para-Brigade Commander Brigadier General Jalaluddin Yusof also bestowed upon Budiman the Maroon Beret and Honorary Para-Wings badge, along with the honorary title of the Malaysian Elite Para-Brigade.
