Cilacap, C Java (Antara) - Cilacap Oil and Gas Labor Federation FSBMC) has said its members will not join a rally commemorating May Day on May 1, 2013, but they will hold a discussion with Cilacap officials and legislators. "We are still waiting a decision by officials in Jakarta concerning our wage improvement. Previously on January 9, we organized a rally to urge the improvement of our wages," said Deputy Chairman of FSBMC's Advocating and Monitoring Paryono here on Tuesday. According to him, PT Pertamina has acceded wages improvement at 80 percents while other demands are still being discussed by PT Pertamina. He said the members of FSMBC will decide next steps after Pertamina officials offer solutions. Instead of staging a rally, FSBMC's members will hold a discussion with several regional officials including Cilacap District Head Tato Suwarto Pamuji and members of the Regional House of Representatives. "We will hold a dialogue concerning the labor's demands in local, regional and national scale," said Paryono who also served as Coordinator of Communication Forum of the Cilacap Labor Unions (SPSB). However, at least 60 members of SPSB Forum who work as outsource workers at the State Electricity Company (PLN) will take part in a May Day rally in Semarang. (*)
