Bandarlampung, Lampung - Two earthquakes respectively measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale shook North Sulawesi province on Monday morning, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The epicenter of the first quake which struck at 06.36 a.m. western Indonesian time was located 126 km northwest of Sangihe Islands in North Sulawesi province at a depth of 10 km, Chrismanto, head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung province, said.
The second quake which occurred at 07.29 a.m. western Indonesian time was centered 135 km southeast of Bolaang Mongondow Timur area also in the province at a depth of 10 km, he said.
There was no immediate report of casualties or material damage caused by the quakes. (*)
