Jember, East Java (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale jolted Jember District, on Monday, at 11.16 am local time. "We are making coordination with authorities in several sub districts to find out whether the quake caused any material damage," Sandi Suwardi Hasan, the head of Jember's Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) said here on Monday. According to information from the National Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the temblor's epicenter was located at 9.76 degrees southern latitude, 113.31 degrees eastern longitude, around 177 kilometers southwest of Jember, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.
