Jakarta, May (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued summons to the Mojokerto district head to undergo questioning as a suspect in an alleged bribery case worth Rp2.7 billion on Friday.
"(Our) investigators are scheduled to question the Mojokerto district head as a suspect today," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah noted here on Friday.
The KPK will question five witnesses in the case against the Mojokerto district head, identified by his initials as MKP on Friday. They are the district head's adjutant, a member of the BCA collection task force, the branch manager of BCA's branch office, and two employees of PT Protelindo.
MKP has been accused of accepting a bribe related to an in-principle permit to use space for the construction of a telecommunication tower in the district in 2015.
In the case, KPK had named the Mojokerto district head, head of the permit and regulatory division of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure (Tower Bersama Group), and the operation director of PT Protelindo as suspects.
MKP has been charged with violating article 12, letter a or article 12, letter b or article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 on corruption eradication. (*)
