Jakarta, (Antara) - Six Indonesian sport figures have received the AFF awards their contribution to the soccer development.
They are general chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) the late Kardono, soccer players Andik Vermansyah, Kurnia Mega Hermansyah, Rizki Rizaldi Pora, Stefano Lilipaly, and Boas Theofilus Erwin Salossa.
Andik Vermansyah is now playing at the Selangor FC (Malaysia), Kurnia Mega Hermansyah is from Arema Malang, East Java, Rizki Rizaldi Pora from Barito Putra, Kalimantan, Stefano Lilipaly from Bali United, and Boas Theofilus Erwin Salossa from Persipura, Papua.
The AFF handed an award of "AFF Dato Sri Paul Mony Live Service", here on Saturday night, to the late Kardono over his commitment, dedication, and big contribution toward the soccer development in Indonesia as well as in the ASEAN region.
AFF Vice President Zaw Zaw handed over the award to the late Kardono through his fifth child, Woro Indriarti Wijanarko.
Kurnia Mega, Rizki Rizaldi, Stefano Lilipaly, dan Boas Solossa, according to the AFF statement, received the AFF Best XI in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016, relating to their special performance during the AFF Suzuki 2016 Cup.
Meanwhile, Andik Vermansyah won the award of "Best Goal in The AFF Suzuki Cup 2016".
The award was an appreciation for Andik volley kick from inside the penalty box to the goalkeeper of Singapore in Group A preliminary round AFF Cup 2016. The Andik's volley kick was considered to be the most beautiful goals throughout the tournament.(*)
