Jakarta, (Antara) - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck southwest of Sabang city, Aceh province, at 11.47 p.m. on Sunday. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 6.78 degrees northern latitude and 94.70 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 103 km, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said in its official website.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 6.78 degrees northern latitude and 94.70 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 103 km, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said in its official website.

The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami, the agency said.(*)
