Unidentified People Attack Manokwari Manpower Office

Manokwari, W Papua (Antara) - A group of unidentified persons assaulted the Manokwari District manpower and transmigration office in West Papua Province on Monday at 01.50 p.m. local time.
More than ten unidentified people smashed window glass and chairs at the office.
Head of the manpower management of the manpower and transmigration office Ir Appi Pakilaran noted that he was not aware as to which association or organization the group belonged to.
Appi said when the group arrived at the yard of the office, the employees fled to save themselves.
The attack had paralyzed the activities of the office, as all employees chose to return home for fear of the attack, he noted.
Head of the Manokwari district police Adj. Snr. Comsr. Jhony Edison Isir reported that the police had investigated the scene.
The police were also making an effort to find the culprits and establish the motive behind the attack, he said.
If they are arrested, they will be punishable according to the law to account for their misdeeds, he added.
