Jakarta (Antara) - The National Awakening Party (PKB) spokesman has stated that the political party wanted to build solid coalition within the framework of strengthening the presidential system in Indonesia.
"We want to build good and solid coalition in our effort to strengthen the presidential system, and therefore we want to be involved in the discussion of the coalition format," PKB Central Executive Board Chairman Abdul Kadir Karding noted here on Friday.
He added that PKB wanted to be involved in the discussion on coalition in connection with reviving the State Policy Guidelines (GBHN), and the long-term road map to development in the field of economy, energy, and food sovereignty.
Karding noted that PKB wanted to discuss various issues seriously to unite executive and legislative power.
"Power sharing will automatically happen but it is not our main benchmark for bargaining power," he explained, adding that PKB would not ask for anything in the political communication with all political parties including Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). (*)
