Jakarta (Antara) - London Olympic gold medalists in 2012 Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng were beaten by Indonesian Mohamad Ahsan pairing with Hendra Setiawan in the men's double at the Djarum Indonesia Open here on Friday.
The world's 10th ranked players lost 21-18, 21-13 against the Indonesians.
Cai Yun was even given a yellow card by the referee for stepping on his racket ahead of the end of the second set in anger for losing the game.
"It is just because I was not happy," he said.
He said it was normal for him to be angry because players always want to win in a game but "we lost."
Regarding Hendra's comment that his performance was declining after the Olympic Games in 2012 Cai Yun said "there is always an up and down. It takes a long time to recover," he said referring to his absence for six months after the Olympic Games due to an injury.
Haifeng who once met Hendra while he was still pairing with Kido praised the two Indonesian players as great.
"Kido/Hendra are great. They are more difficult to beat," he said. (*)
