Sukabumi, W Java (Antara) - The West Java chapter of the Indonesian Football Schools Association (ASSBI) will select five of its students to be trained in Manchester City, the West Java ASSBI chairman, Yus Rizal Bolkiah has said. "We have been selecting athletes of all football schools in West Java," Bolkiah said here on Saturday, adding that the students age ranging from 11 to 15 years. According to him, the selected students will get a two-month training in the Manchester city namely July and August, 2013. Bolkiah said, this program was aimed at giving opportunities to the students who are not chosen by the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI). Many elements believed that PSSI pays less attention to stepping up quality of the all football school athletes, and hasn't yet set a program to enhance their achievement, he said. "Therefore, we are trying to provide opportunities for the talented students of the football schools to participate in competitions either at national or international levels, and send them to study at one of the top football clubs in England such as the Manchester City," he pointed out. At present, the West Java's ASSBI has 10 official members namely in Kuningan, Majalengka, Sumedang, Garut, Bekasi, Karawang, Kabupaten Bandung, Bogor, Cianjur, and Sukabumi city. (*)
