Madiun, E Java (ANTARA) - The Indonesian special police anti-terror unit Densus 88 arrested fugitive terror convict Roki Aprisdianto alias Atok Prabowo at the Purbaya bus terminal here on Monday night, eyewitnesses said.
He was arrested aboard a bus plying between Surabaya and Yogyakarta at around 07.00 p.m. on Monday and later taken to Central Java for further questioning, a military intelligence source here said on Tuesday.
A number of eyewitnesses at the bus terminal said they saw plainclothes police officers taking a man who is strongly believed to be Roki out of the bus while stopping at the terminal.
"It is true that several plainclothes police officers arrested a man last night," Rianto, a public transport driver at the terminal said.
Roki was sentenced to six years' imprisonment by the West Jakarta district court in December 2011 for involvement in the bombing of a police station, church and mosque in Klaten district, Central Java, in November and December 2010.
He was arrested by the Densus 88 in Sukoharjo, Central Java, in 2011. On November 6, 2012 he escaped from the detention center at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police by disguising as a woman wearing burka in order to trick the warders. (*)
