Jayapura, Papua - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said a major quake hit Jayapura of Papua and Maluku on Friday morning, but no report immediately received yet of casualty or property damaged. The quake with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter Scale, hit at 9.31 a.m. local time with epicenter in the sea at a depth of 22 kilometers and 168 kilometers northeast of Tual, Maluku Island.
