Jakarta - Minister of Economy and European Affairs of Brandenburg, Germany, Raft Christoffers, along with 29 businessmen of different sectors is scheduled to conduct business visit to Indonesia from May 18 to 25, 2012. The German businessmen engaged in energy, information technology, trash management, aviation, research and some other sectors, are visiting Jakarta and Bandung, the Trade Ministry said in a press release Sunday. The planned meeting of the German business mission was disclosed by the Trade Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin Nusa Eka. The business mission was aimed at promoting cooperation between Indonesia and Germany and creating new employment opportunities for business players in Indonesia. Quoting an address of Raft Christoffers at a seminar in Potsdam, Nusa Eka said that the business meeting he is heading will also be held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Indonesia's bilateral relations with Germany. The relations of Brandenburg with Indonesia, Christoffers said have actually already been established, so that the visit would further strengthen trade cooperation between the two countries. Nusa Eka said the Brandenburg business mission to Jakarta and Bandung will include business meetings to be organized by the German-Indonesian Chamber of Trade and Industry (ECONID), and the signing of an education cooperation with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). In supporting the trade mission, Nusa Eka said the Economic Development Institute of Brandenburg (ZAB-ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg) has held a seminar of the Brandenburg Business Mission to Indonesia in Postdam, Germany on May 4, 2012.
