Indonesian President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi's) bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping as well as both countries' delegations in Chengdu City, China, on Thursday, resulted in eight agreements.

Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, in a press statement video monitored on the YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat, on Thursday, outlined that the first agreement is an action plan of cooperation in the health sector.

Meanwhile, the second agreement is a protocol for opening access to agricultural product markets for Indonesia's porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) flour commodity.

The third agreement is a protocol for opening access to agricultural product markets for exporting tabasheer powder from Indonesia to China, while the fourth is an agreement on research and development for plant breeding and marine cultivation industries.

Furthermore, under the fifth agreement, Indonesia and China agreed on the transfer of knowledge and experience for the development of Indonesia's new capital city (IKN) Nusantara.

As for the sixth agreement, the two countries agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on increasing the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" cooperation between both nations.

The seventh agreement is the MoU on economic and technical cooperation, while the eighth is an MoU on Mandarin language education.

Marsudi also stated that deliverables in the form of investment commitments will be conveyed by President Jokowi on Friday.

President Jokowi paid a working visit to Chengdu, China, on July 27-28, 2023, to fulfill President Xi's invitation. The visit is also in line with the 10 years of the Indonesia-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
