Kuala Lumpur, (Antara) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the company of First Lady Iriana will attend the opening ceremony of the 27th ASEAN Summit at the Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) on Saturday, according to presidential communication team Ari Dwipayana.

Dwipayana remarked that the president and the first lady will attend a series of activities on the first day of the 27th ASEAN Summit on Saturday.

At 09.00 am local time President Jokowi will attend the opening ceremony of the 27th ASEAN Summit, followed by the plenary meeting of the summit.

After the plenary meeting, the Indonesian president will witness the signing of ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons Especially Women And Children.

In the afternoon, President Jokwo will attend the 18th Summit of ASEAN and the People's Republic of China (PRC), with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang to discuss cooperation of ASEAN-China and various other topics.

An hour later, the President will witness the Signing Ceremony of the Protocol To Amend the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Co-Operation Between ASEAN and the People's Republic of China, and continued with the 13th ASEAN - India Summit.

In the afternoon, the president will attend  the 18th Summit of ASEAN Plus Three (Republic of Korea, Japan, China) with the  President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

After that, President Jokowi will witness the signing of the Charter of the Establishment of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Malaysia, followed by a meeting of ASEAN Plus Three Leaders Interface With the East Asia Business Council.

At 5:30 pm local time, the president will have a bilateral meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, and then to attend the 3rd ASEAN-US Summit.

In the evening, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana will attend a gala dinner, hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.

All the activities of the 27th ASEAN Summit and other summits will be held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.(*)
